From the sadness of leaving his homeland, to the difficulties of living in the transit camps in Nepal and India, and, finally, to the hope of rebuilding his future in America, this book brings readers through the undulating journey of a refugee. "The Himalayan" illustrates the openness of American society, which is constantly enriched with men and women from every corner of the globe.
Nar Pradhan is a Bhutanese-born American in Cleveland, Ohio. He is an entrepreneur who runs several companies including South Asian Grocery; Himalayan Restaurant & Bar, LLC; and Pradhan Realty, LLC, also located in Cleveland, Ohio. He is married to the love of his life, Saru, and they have two small boys, Shayne and Seann.
