Enjoy the magical sounds of the 2023 Spring World Tour of Music. Be transported by the beguiling sounds of ancient instruments, including the lute, medieval fiddle, recorder, harp, and more.
Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach and the Akron-Summit County Public Library bring to you The Leaves be Green: Springtime in England as the culminating concert in the Spring 2023 World Tour of Music residency. Cleveland-based early music ensemble, Les Délices, and young artists from Firestone Community Learning Center celebrate springtime with joyous music from the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Audiences will be transported by the beguiling sounds of ancient instruments – including lute, medieval fiddle, recorder, harp, and more – and enjoy songs and carols in English by William Byrd, Robert Fayrfax, Henry VIII, and others that see gardens in full bloom, birds singing from on high and dancing in the open air. The program is free, but registration is recommended at www.ormaco.org. For more information, call 419.853.6016.
