Maker Series: Meet Our Laser Engraver

Main Library’s makerspace offers free access to a laser engraver! Join us for a two-class series to learn more about it, how to create a file, and then etch it onto a coaster. Registration required.

With a laser engraver, you can etch your logo or design into a variety of materials. You can use the TechZone to make the design yourself or find something online. Our laser engraver can etch or cut complex designs, text, pictures, or patterns. This series includes an introduction on how to use our engraver and how you can create personalized one-of-a-kind gifts for yourself or others. Coaster is provided.

Dates, times, topics:

Class 1: Learn about CorelDraw and how to create a file for etching on coaster using our Laser Engraver. | Thursday, April 7 | 6 pm 

Class 2: A hands-on laser engraving experience. Using the CorelDraw designs and skills from the previous class, learn how to engrave/etch your design onto a coaster using our laser engraver.  Thursday, April 14| 6 pm
