Minus The Alien is a hip-hop recording artist and songwriter from Akron, Ohio. His music is an example of what the positive side of hip hop culture has to offer. His sound and creativity is a breath of fresh air and his message is very relatable and uplifting. Come learn about the 4 elements of Hip-Hop. Dare to be Different!
He was recently named as one of the 2021 top ten Akron rappers to check for by OkayPlayer. He has a strong passion for mentoring youth and community outreach. He is a recipient of the 2018 "Men of Champions" Award presented by Mayor Dan Horrigan and the Joy Park Neighborhood Federation. He is a 2016 Alumni of the Neighborhood Leadership Institute of Summit County. He is the founder of a grassroots non-profit organization called Alien Arts, Inc.
He also developed an In-person/Virtual Hip-Hop Boot Camp that teaches the history of hip-hop culture and how it can be used a tool for positive change, which can lead to a career paths of opportunity.
Minus The Alien has performed at various venues throughout northeast Ohio, including Jilly's Music Room, Canton Football Hall of Fame, The Bop Stop, The Odeon, Grog Shop, Lock 3 Live, Akron Civic Theatre, Blu Jazz, Musica, Canal Park Stadium, Akron Art Museum & Zimmerman Symphony Center. Minus The Alien also has performed at several music festivals including Porch Rokr, Square Fest, Global Village Fest, & Big Love Fest. He has appeared on "Around Akron with Blue Green," which airs on PBS. Minus The Alien has had several write ups in the Akron Beacon Journal, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, and Spectrum News Ohio.
His music can currently be heard in regular rotation on 91.3 FM - The Summit. He is currently working on an upcoming Ep/Album titled " I Come in Peace."
Past Achievements: 91.3FM (The Summit) 1st hip-hop/rap artist played in station history; Collaboration w/ The Canton Symphony Orchestra (Hip-Hop Meets Symphony).
