Maker Series: Laser Engraver

Meet our Laser Engraver

Main Library’s makerspace offers free access to a laser engraver! Join us for a two-class series to learn how to create a file and then etch it onto glass. Register online, in person, or by phone.

Our laser engraver can etch or cut complex designs, text, pictures, or patterns. This series is a hands-on introduction to the laser engraver that explains how it works and how you can create personalized one-of-a-kind gifts for yourself or others. All equipment necessary for this class, including the glass, will be provided by the library. 

Dates, times, topics:

• Class 1: Thursday, March 24 | 6 pm | Learn about CorelDraw and how to create a file for etching on glass using our Laser Engraver. 
• Class 2: Thursday, March 31 | 6 pm | A hands-on laser engraving experience. Using the CorelDraw designs and skills from the previous class, learn how to your design into glass using our laser engraver.  

Please cancel if you register but are unable to attend. You can do so online via the email confirmation received at the time of registration or by calling Electronic Services Division at 330.643.9145.
