The volunteers of the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program provide free tax preparation help to anyone. They are especially focused on helping those that are age 50 and older, and who can’t afford a tax preparation service. With the help of our team of IRS-certified volunteers, we work to make filing taxes easy for you. There is no fee, no sales pitch for other services, and AARP membership is not required. The Northwest Akron Branch Library, along with its neighbor, the Northwest Family Recreation Center, serves as a center of active learning through a diverse offering of programs and resources.
