The Library is partnering with Summit County Job and Family Services to offer one-on-one, on-site office hours with case managers at select locations.

Case managers can assist with:
- Submitting documents
- Applying or reapplying for assistance
- Reporting case changes
- Case or eligibility questions
Summit County Job and Family Services Case Managers are available at these locations from 10 am-12 pm & 1-4 pm:
- Goodyear Branch Library - First Monday of the month - December 1, January 5, February 2
- Highland Square Branch Library – First Tuesday of the month - December 2, January 6, February 3
- Green Branch Library - Second Monday of the month - December 8, January 12, February 9
- Firestone Park Branch Library - Second Wednesday of the month - December 10, January 14, February 11
- Northwest Akron Branch Library - Third Monday of the month - December 15 (No office hours on January 19 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day and February 16 – President’s Day)
- Odom Boulevard Branch Library – Third Tuesday of the month - December 16, January 20, February 17
- Maple Valley Branch Library - Fourth Monday of the month - December 22, January 26, February 23
- Main Library - Last Thursday of the month - January 29, February 26 (No office hours on December 25 – Christmas Day)
Summit County Job and Family Services Case Managers are available at these locations from 12-4 pm:
- Springfield-Lakemore Branch Library - Second Tuesday of the month - December 9, January 13, February 10
- North Hill Branch Library - Fourth Tuesday of the month - December 23, January 27, February 24

Drive-up Window closes fifteen minutes before the building closes for the day.
Main Library, located in the heart of downtown Akron, combines compelling public space with meaningful and relevant public library services for all members of our community. Since opening in 2004, the downtown library welcomes more than one million visitors each year.
Subject divisions include: Business, Government & Science, Culture & AV, Magazines & Newspapers, Special Collections (local history & genealogy), TechZone@Main, Teen, and a 12,000 square feet Children's Library.
Special services available at Main Library include: a Patent & Trademark Resource Center; U.S. Passport and Notary services; a Microbusiness Center; a Maker Space; a resource lab for early childhood educators; and regularly scheduled computer training classes. Also available at Main Library are more than 125 public access computers, color photocopiers/printers, laminating, scanning, faxing, and free Wi-Fi.
Specialized spaces include a 425-seat auditorium, public meeting rooms, and a used bookstore. An interior glass block walkway leads to a 600-space parking garage owned by the City of Akron. An outdoor amphitheater and landscaped park complete the complex.
