You don’t have to be a millionaire to plan effectively. You’ve worked hard and deserve the peace of mind that comes with knowing your wishes will be followed. This program does not offer legal advice; rather, it provides helpful insight from the experts at the Summit County Probate Court.
Learn about the probate process, including wills and estate administration, and the importance of powers of attorney, transfer on death designations, beneficiaries, and payable-on-death accounts. The court will show you how to make plans that best serve you and your family.
What is guardianship, and when is it necessary? The Probate Court serves as the superior guardian for more than 2,500 individuals in Summit County. This program will clearly explain the process and importance of guardianship.
The court will also share information about marriage licenses, name changes, and adoptions.
