A teaching artist from KSU’s Wick Poetry Center leads participants through an expressive writing workshop on the themes of home and creating a sense of belonging. All experience levels welcome.

What makes a home, home? What creates a sense of belonging? Join Teaching Artists from Kent State University’s Wick Poetry Center for an expressive writing workshop on these themes. Teaching artists will lead participants through a discussion of model texts to generate individual and collaborative written responses.
All backgrounds and experience levels welcome.

This program is part of our Community Read, a shared reading experience focused on the theme of “Where We Live.” Community Read includes book discussions, writing workshops, and art programs that foster the exchange of ideas and perspectives as we celebrate 150 years of service and community.

The library experience for customers of the Richfield Branch Library is eclectic and energizing. At the library, opportunities for individual and family engagement include an extensive NatureConnect interactive space, an ongoing StoryWalk collaboration along the Carter Pedigo Trail, and other hands-on, participatory exploration opportunities. Every time you visit the Richfield Branch Library, there is something to do, play, study, explore, or observe—and the chance to make a memory.
