- Session One: Reverse Engineer Your Grant Applications, Thursday, October 3 — Take the mystery out of grant applications by creating a template for frequently asked questions. Discover the importance of demonstrating your need and your nonprofit's impact on the community. Dawn takes nearly 30 years of grant writing experience and breaks it into easy-to-digest steps to help you achieve your grant goals.
- Session Two: Grant Budgets, Thursday October 17 — Did you know that some grant reviewers look at the budget first to tell the story of your application? Learn how to build a strong grant budget that explains where you stand, where you intend to grow, and what impact a grant will have in achieving your mission. We will discuss the importance of teamwork in building the budget and budget narrative to ensure you are delivering what you promise to grant funder.
- Session Three: Navigating the World of Grants, Thursday October 31 — Where is the money? For nonprofits looking for new funding opportunities, we will discuss various ways to identify new funding opportunities that are both free and subscription-based. We will discuss pre-award and post-award best practices and funding sustainability.

Main Library, located in the heart of downtown Akron, combines compelling public space with meaningful and relevant public library services for all members of our community. Since opening in 2004, the downtown library welcomes more than one million visitors each year.
Subject divisions include: Business, Government & Science, Culture & AV, Magazines & Newspapers, Special Collections (local history & genealogy), TechZone@Main, Teen, and a 12,000 square feet Children's Library.
Special services available at Main Library include: a Patent & Trademark Resource Center; U.S. Passport and Notary services; a Microbusiness Center; a Maker Space; a resource lab for early childhood educators; and regularly scheduled computer training classes. Also available at Main Library are more than 125 public access computers, color photocopiers/printers, laminating, scanning, faxing, and free Wi-Fi.
Specialized spaces include a 425-seat auditorium, public meeting rooms, and a used bookstore. An interior glass block walkway leads to a 600-space parking garage owned by the City of Akron. An outdoor amphitheater and landscaped park complete the complex.
